AND NOW FOR ONE MORE BEAUTIFUL INTERSECTION BETWEEN THE EMPIRE OF CHAOS AND THE WAR ON TERRA
Interpol has “informed” every spook and his neighbor that the head of ISIS/ISIL/Daesh in the Maghreb is none other than…Abdelhakim Belhaj.
But don’t expect the Empire of Chaos to nail him anytime soon. After all, he was one of our key “bastards” in the “liberation” of Libya.
You can read a lot about Belhaj in Empire of Chaos – the book. MI6 asset in the 1990s; trained with al-Qaeda in Afghanistan (I’ve been to his camp); arrested in Malaysia in 2004 then a guest in one of the CIA’s extraordinary rendition tours; tortured in Libya; freed from jail by Saif al-Islam; star “refugee” in Qatar; key asset in the fall of Gaddafi; back in the limelight as Tripoli’s military governor; host of ISIS/ISIL/Daesh training camps in Derna, Syrte and Sebrata; very “respected” in the West.
No, you can’t make this stuff up. Or you can – then shoot it, and run for an Oscar.
