13-09-23 US: Electronic voting machines and fraud

Let have to voting machines makers regulate themselves... After all, the self-regulation approach had phenomenal results in the banking sectors...

Introduction
For over a decade, US top computer experts and civil right advocate sound the alarms that the electronic voting machines that were implemented in the United States are prone to fraud.  The US government refuses to take action.

Currnt episode:
New California bill will relax regulation of electronic voting machiines.... 
It is for a good reason that state law,until SB 360, made it impossible for a single person to approve electronic voting systems for use in actual elections without independent testing by a federal body.There was a well-considered reason that CA had some of the most stringent rules requiring systems to be federally certified before they could even be considered for use in a state election.SB 360 will become state law on 1.1.14
